Reading the details of the 2015 Economic Forecast may not sound riveting, but it can shed some light on what's happening in the Metro Denver area, and can help us understand what to expect in the housing market as a result.
Among other things, this report reminds us that the largest population group in Metro Denver is now represented by millennials. The job market is strong, and that is a huge factor in our growth!
From the 2015 Economic Forecast Report (Provided by the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation):
"Colorado maintained its ranking as a top 10 state for employment growth
during 2014 and will post a strong 2.7 percent increase in employment in
2015. The employment base is expected to reach 2.5 million workers in
2015, representing the addition of over 66,000 jobs."
9 News reports that residents of Thornton, CO can look forward to a new outlet mall, set to begin construction in 2016. Costing $134 Million, the new retail location will be called Denver Premium Outlets (photo below from City Of Thornton).
